September Loves ...

Summer is gradually fading away an Autumn is falling upon us, the slight warmth of Summer still lingers as the ink of the night sky gradually appears and as the seasons change, September brings about many new chapters.
New adventures are under way as school years begin, pencils are sharpened, blank notebooks are opened, uniforms are pressed , friendships are blossomed and made.
Autumn/Winter wardrobes are being re-modelled, chunky knits I simply love, Winter boots I look forward to breaking in, Jewel tones I can't wait to explore. Chanel metallic nail varnishes I can't wait to wear, perfecting the use of Mac 'Brave Red' lipstick an the eyeliner I have finally cracked. London Fashion Week sets the capital alive and opens our eyes to the creativity, talent and beauty that we will soon be gazing at in the editions of Vogue.
Recipe pages are book marked on homemade thick crusty breads, pipping hot chunky soups, apple & cinnamon cake. Stacks of books have been collated from the classics, to bestsellers ready to be discovered on the perfect Sunday afternoon with a cup of milky tea. X

Fireplaces: Warmth Of The Home.

The last couple of days I find myself wearing knits and scarves to work as the chill of Autumn/Winter arrives and firmly kicks Summer goodbye. If I'm being honest I do love these coming months with the dark nights, wrapping up in chunky knits, cosy afternoons curled up beside a roaring fire, im looking forward to it even writinh about it! Having a glowing fire always has a homely touch to me as it spreads the warmth through the house or many find fireplaces a great way to make a feature in a room. Either way its a feature I love, would you have one in your home? Enjoy! X

Leopard Print

It seems that the lion has lost his crown as king of the jungle as the leopard is the one winning the first place on fashion catwalk. For Autumn/Winter leopard print can be seen everywhere and on anything and if properly worn and paired, leopard print can add style and an unique touch to any look. At Gucci, the leopard printed overcoats represent a glamorous choice for a daytime look, while the dresses spotted at Dolce&Gabbana would make you draw all the attention on a special event. You can also try the leopard printed blazers as seen at Balmain. Try to choose it and add it to you outfit, I'm starting off by adding my Louis Vuitton scarf, how will you be challenging this look or wont you, let me know. Happy Monday! Paul Smith Autumn/Winter 2011

I have always been an admirere of British designer Paul Smith. I had a few of his pieces as I was growing up an a favourite was a beautiful vibrant slip dress that had a print of bunny rabbits on it, I loved it . Always taking note of his collections each season, his talent and style  is one that I applaud.
This season, Paul Smith’s modern masculine aesthetic continues with a relaxed, laid-back collection for women. A contemporary blend of tailored English attitude and effortless Parisian chic gives an understated androgynous silhouette.
Matt textures with traditional cloths thrown with slouchy cardigans and oversize knits, a look that looks comfortable an effortless. Faux fur trims, flashes of sheer silk add a touch of femininity.
Neutral earthly tones are highlighted by punchy block colours.
Are you loving this look an ready to challenge it for Autumn/ Winter? x

Chelsea Boots

A pair of boots are at the top of my Autumn/Winter wardrobe list this year, I think they are a vital key of any wardrobe and if choosing wisely, classics can last you years. After some browsing in London thsi weekend I have decided on Chelsea boots, a can't-live-without wardrobe staple and this season the timeless classics have been given a luxe, modern twist with statuesque heels, mock croc suede and even leopard print. Perfect for on and off-duty looks, the go-with-everything boots work with all of autumn's new trends, especially cropped trousers and camel coats, and they're super comfy! Here are some of my favourites! Happy Tuesday! X

Jewel Box Colours

With Autumn/Winter just around the corner (I know where still in August) we are already getting snippets of the new seasons collections in stores and it has got me a tiny bit excited. Fashion has jumped sides on the colour spectrum as we turn from Summer acid brights to the crowning glory of jewels for our Autumn/Winter wardrobe. These colours alone would make any woman look and feel classy, sophisticated and powerful (they are strong and brave colours to wear) especially with words as royal as sapphire, emerald and ruby. Adding one these colours to your outfit whether it be a skirt, handbag or piece of Jewellery will make you dazzle and demand attention. Its a trend I'm looking forward to an one I think that has potential to stick around, what do you think of it? Enjoy! X
