Blackboards

There is something quite nostalgic about blackboards, it takes me back to the school classroom. But blackboards have been getting redesigned and stylishly used as features in the home and its an idea that i love. Used in so many ways, whether it's a board in your kitchen for your shopping list, to-do list in your office or a slick of blackboard paint against the back of a door so you can leave yourself little reminders before you leave the house. I like the idea of it as a sort of pin/reminder boards, an open scrapbook if you like. Here are some of my favourite ways blackboards can be used, what do you think of this design element you like it or not? Enjoy! X

What a great collection of pictures you have! My favorite is the first image and the image with a door flanked by a pair of topiaries!
