Postcard

Tonight I have no internet in my house (and my first reaction was no that can't be right, come on really??) An it suddenly dawned on me how much I depend upon it. When you take a step back and think how much we use it in our day to day life it is mad to think how we suddenly think we can't cope without it. Already in the past couple of hours since its been down I have been unable to order my best friend birthday present, check out cinema times, do my online banking, track a parcel with my new purchases and of course read up on new blog posts and make a new entry of my own (btw I was so looking forward to tonights post but no worries I'll save it for another time.)

It got me thinking that it was only a few decades ago that people couldn't just text to meet up with one another they did it the old fashioned romantic way of putting pen to paper to speak to one another. Sending postcards to friends and family when they were on holiday, today we can just send an email. I do think I would still like to have some of that mystery around today, in a way it would be interesting to see how we all coped, I don't think it would be too long. So until my Internet is back on I will resort to the classical craft of pen and paper plus my Blackberry to send you this.

I initially felt so lost without internet this past week but then I embraced it and it really was a great feeling!
